CBSE, state board results set to roll out early May; here is what to expect

May 2025 marks a high-stakes period for lakhs of school students across India. As the academic year draws to a close, students across the country eagerly await the announcement of the 2025 board examination results.

CBSE results
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted board exams for classes 10 and 12 from February 15 to April 4, 2025.
The evaluation process is anticipated to finish by the end of April 2025, making it likely that the results will be announced in May first fortnight.
With over 42 lakh students appearing, the results for both Class 10 and 12 are expected between May 7 and 12.
Students can check their results on the official CBSE websites, including cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in.
Tamil Nadu board results
The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu (DGE TN) is set to release the results for Class 10 and Class 12 in May. Students can check their scores on the official websites, dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in, soon.
For the Class 12 (HSE +2) examinations, which were conducted between March 3 and March 25, 2025, the result is tentatively expected around May 6. The results for the same were announced on May 6 in 2024 and May 8 in 2023.
Similarly, the Tamil Nadu Class 10th (SSLC) result is expected to be released in early May, too. In 2024, the TN SSLC result was declared on May 10.
Karnataka board results
The Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) will announce Class 10 result 2025 on karresults.nic.in. The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) is likely to declare the Karnataka SSLC Result 2025 on May 3, 2025, said media reports.Students will also be able to access their provisional online mark sheets.
The Karnataka SSLC board exams for 2025 were held from March 21 to April 4, starting with the first language paper and ending with the third language paper.
Punjab board results
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is likely to declare the Class 10 and 12 results between April 30 and May 5, 2025.
Typically, the board announces the results during a press conference led by the chairperson, followed by the activation of result links online.
Class 10 exams were conducted from March 10 to April 4, while Class 12 exams took place from February 19 to April 4.
Around 2.81 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams, and approximately 2.84 lakh registered for Class 12.
Students will be able to check their results using their roll number or registration details on official websites such as punjab.indiaresults.com and digilocker.gov.in. Results will also be available via SMS and DigiLocker services.

Madhya Pradesh board
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is expected to announce the Class 10 and 12 results in the first week of May 2025.
Although the exact date is yet to be confirmed, the board typically declares results around 4:00 PM through a press conference.
The Class 10 exams were conducted from February 27 to March 19, while the Class 12 exams took place between February 25 and March 25.
Students can access their results by entering their roll number on official websites like mpresults.nic.in or mpbse.nic.in.
Himachal Pradesh board
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) is expected to release the Class 12 results by April 30 or in early May 2025, with Class 10 results anticipated between May 7 and May 14.
Results are generally announced during a press conference, after which the online result portals are activated.
In 2025, the Class 10 examinations were conducted from March 4 to March 24, while Class 12 exams took place from March 4 to March 29.
Students can check their results on hpbose.org or through authorised third-party platforms by entering their roll number. SMS and DigiLocker services will also provide access to the results.

Jharkhand and West Bengal board results
The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is likely to announce the Class 10 and 12 results in the second week of May 2025.
The board exams for both classes were conducted from February 11 to early March. In 2025, around 4.5 lakh students appeared for Class 10, while approximately 3.5 lakh took the Class 12 exams.
Students can access their results on jacresults.com, jac.jharkhand.gov.in, and jharresults.nic.in. Results will also be available via SMS and DigiLocker.
Meanwhile, the West Bengal Board will declare the Class 10 results on May 2 and the Class 12 results on May 7.
