Sandeep Reddy Vanga vents in cryptic post after Deepika Padukone drops out of 'Spirit'
Sandeep, of 'Animal' fame, said in a tweet on X that the actress had broken his trust by revealing the plot of the film, but does not mention Deepika by name
Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has broken his silence following Deepika Padukone’s reported exit from the film Spirit starring Prabhas, with a cryptic post on X.
Vanga took to the social media platform X on May 26, appearing to slam the actress in a post that accused her of playing “dirty PR games.”
The controversy began after Deepika Padukone dropped out of the project without giving any specific reason. But reports claimed that she walked out due to several reasons, including discomfort with the film's A-rated scenes, scheduling issues, and reduced remuneration for the project.

The timing raised eyebrows, as the reports surfaced just a day after Animal star Triptii Dimri was announced as the new female lead.
'Disclosed the person you are'
Though Vanga didn’t name Deepika in his post, he claims that the actress broke his trust.
No evidence directly links her to the reported leak.
Vanga posted on X, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are. Putting down a younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for?”

'Racy sequences'
Sandeep Reddy Vanga attained his directorial fame through daring projects like Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy which featured bold scenes and action sequences, and Spirit is likely to be no different.
A report by Pinkvilla claimed that Spirit would feature racy sequences, requiring an actor “comfortable with the material".

It said that while the story-telling of Spirit is that of a quintessential Telugu entertainer that has all the hero moments, the filmmaker is bringing a twist to the genre by making it 'A-rated'.
Issues in timing and fee
Several reports have mentioned that Deepika had requested for fixed shooting hours so as to manage her personal life after the birth of her child.
It has also been said that she had allegedly quoted a fee of ₹40 crores for the project, but the producers could only offer her ₹20 crores, leading to her dropping out of the project.
Triptii Dimri's rise
The new co-star to Prabhas in Spirit, Triptii Dimri, had previously made quite a sensational impact among audiences with the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal.
