Trump warns Iran of renewed military strikes if peace deal falls short
Donald Trump warns Iran that US military strikes could resume if he rejects the final peace agreement, calling the current framework a memorandum of understanding
Two days before the much anticipated signing of the peace of deal with Iran, US President Donald Trump warned the Islamic Republic that if he does not like the text of the deal, his military would resume bombing Tehran.
Speaking to reporters at the at the G7 Summit in France alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Trump further revealed that agreement with Iran was “not final” and termed it as a “memorandum of understanding.”
Trump warns Iran
"It's a memorandum of understanding. And if I don't like it, we'll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their heads," said Trump as quoted by NDTV.
"If I don't like it, if they don't behave, we'll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their heads,” he added.

At the same interaction, Trump described the US-Iran framework agreement as a "very strong" arrangement even as he maintained that details of the understanding had not yet been made public.
"Nobody knows what it is, but it's very strong," he said.
Claims markets reacted positively
The US President also claimed that financial markets had reacted positively to the announcement of the framework deal and suggested that the Strait of Hormuz would be fully reopened within days of the formal signing.

"What is really happy is the [stock] market that has gone wild. It's gone through the roof. And oil has tumbled down," Trump said adding "That speaks louder than words."
Trump also renewed his criticism of former President Barack Obama, accusing him of attempting to secure the 2015 nuclear agreement with Tehran through financial concessions.
Renews attack on Obama
"The JCPOA done by Obama: he handed them $1.7bn in cash, green cash from banks, into a Boeing 757 and flew it into Iran. And they stood at the plane, I have pictures of it, 'oh my god, look at this money he's giving us'," Trump told reporters at the summit.

"He tried to bribe his way out. I didn't try to do that... You know what the Iranians did? They laughed at Obama …."
Earlier, after Trump announced that the agreement with Iran had been completed and would be formally signed on Friday, US Vice President JD Vance said on Monday that both sides had already "signed the deal digitally". He added that any sanctions relief for Iran under the arrangement would remain contingent on Tehran adhering to its obligations under the deal.
