List of 23 parties attending INDIA Janbandhan today in Delhi

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are unlikely to be present for the meeting that has been called ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament

The Congress has confirmed that 23 Opposition parties will be attending the INDIA Janbandhan (“People’s Alliance”) at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on Monday (June 8).

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, in a post on X on Sunday evening (June 7) said some parties have expressed their inability to attend this particular meeting for their own reasons - "even though they have conveyed their strong opposition to the Modi government's policies and actions..."

Apart from the Indian National Congress, the other parties that will be present are the Samajwadi Party (SP), the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP), Communist Party of India (Marxist), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Communist Party of India (CPI), Kerala Congress (M), Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), Communist Party of India (Marxist – Leninist Liberation), Peasants and Workers Party of India (PWPI), All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), Goa Forward Party (GFP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kerala Congress (Joseph), Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) and the Rashtriya Loktrantrik Party (RLP).

DMK, AAP to skip meeting

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has said it will not be attending the meeting, accusing the Congress of “betrayal”, (since the Congress decided to support the TVK in forming the government in Tamil Nadu after the Assembly elections last month).

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has distanced itself from the INDIA bloc after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, is also not attending the meeting.
