What Dipke said
"If you are watching this video, then it means me, Ashutosh (Ranka) and Saurav (Das) all three have been arrested. In our absence, our movement will be led by Ajinkya (Shinde). Please follow him; he will carry forward the Cockroach Janta Party," Dipke said in the 20-second video.
“IMPORTANT. Until Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka are in detention, CJP’s Organization In-Charge Ajinkya Shinde will lead this protest at Jantar Mantar. Abhijeet had pre-recorded this video last night in anticipation of a potential arrest (sic),” CJP captioned Dipke’s video.
Detentions from inside aircraft
Dipke, Das and Ranka were detained by Delhi Police from inside an aircraft shortly after it landed in the national capital, according to the information shared by the organisation.
The three leaders arrived in Delhi from Mumbai for the proposed protest at Jantar Mantar against Kumar.
The outfit has called a demonstration at Jantar Mantar against the CEC over allegations of voter-list manipulation during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and changes relating to Form 6, used for voter registration.
Security stepped up at Dipke’s home
Meanwhile, police have stepped up security at Dipke's home in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in view of his protest against Kumar in Delhi, an official said.
A senior police official said that the police have increased deployment outside Dipke's residence located in the MIDC Waluj area here.
"Earlier, one guard was stationed at Dipke's residence. Now the headquarters has deployed a team of 20 policemen considering the situation in New Delhi," an official from the local police station said.
