Proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned till 2 pm on Thursday (July 30) amid continued protests and heated exchanges between the Treasury and Opposition benches during the Monsoon Session.
Opposition MPs, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, protested in the Parliament House complex on Thursday against alleged police excesses against student protesters and theft of donations at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The MPs protested in front of Makar Dwar of Parliament. Slogans such as 'chadhawa chor, gaddi chhor', 'grih mantri sadan mein aao' and 'who gave the order' were raised by the lawmakers.

The protesting MPs lined up behind a big banner that read 'who gave the order', an apparent reference to the directions to security personnel to use lethal force against student protesters at the recent agitation against NEET paper leak.
The INDIA bloc has vowed to corner the government on issues of alleged theft of donations at the Ram temple and the use of "brutal force" against students during their protests last week.
CJP chief takes a jibe at PM Modi
Meanwhile, asserting that student protesters are “not terrorists”, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday demanded action against officials who ordered pellet gun firing at Jantar Mantar on July 20. Warning that continued police harassment would prompt young people to “change the government”, he also took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he should step down and "become an influencer" instead.
Referring to the Prime Minister’s recent Instagram videos addressing the youth, Dipke told reporters in his hometown in Maharashtra, “I think [PM Modi] should become an influencer. He is doing very well at that. If he is such a good influencer, then he should leave the Prime Minister's chair, become an influencer, and let someone else do the job.”
‘Students can change govt’
Dipke also sought strict legal action against officials who authorised the use of pellet guns against student demonstrators at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar and warned that the government should not presume that students' anger has decreased after Pradhan's resignation.
"Whether it be Amit Shah (or anyone else), action should be taken against the person who gave orders to fire pellet guns," Dipke said. He also warned that if need be, the students may launch a fresh agitation on a "much bigger scale".

"These students are not terrorists. They are the future of our country. If the future of the country is troubled in such a way, just as Dharmendra Pradhan had to step down...Tomorrow, we will go and change the government if it doesn't fall in line," the CJP founder added.

Delhi student protest crackdown signals BJP's political decline: AICC secretary
All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary and Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Divya Maderna on Wednesday alleged that the police action against protesting students in Delhi marked the beginning of the BJP-led Centre's political decline and accused the government of failing the country's youth.
Maderna claimed the BJP government had systematically undermined constitutional institutions, suppressed dissent and pushed young people into uncertainty through unemployment, recruitment irregularities and examination paper leaks.
"The brutal use of force against peacefully protesting students has exposed the government's intolerance towards democratic dissent and marks the beginning of the BJP government's political decline," Maderna told reporters.
Referring to the police action against students protesting in Delhi on July 20, she alleged that the use of force reflected the government's intolerance towards democratic dissent. "The countdown of the BJP government at the Centre has begun because the youth of the country have realised that their future has been sacrificed for political propaganda," she added.
The AICC secretary alleged that repeated examination paper leaks, including that of the NEET examination, had shattered the aspirations of lakhs of students preparing for competitive examinations.

'It is a lie': BJP rejects Rahul's claim that Shah ordered firing at protesting students
The BJP on Wednesday rejected as a "lie" Rahul Gandhi's claim that students were shot at during their march to Parliament last week following Home Minister Amit Shah's order, alleging that the Congress leader is attempting to spread confusion and incite anarchy for political gains.
Addressing back-to-back two press conferences at the BJP headquarters here, party spokesperson Sambit Patra also slammed Rahul for his remarks that Shah travels in a convoy of 30 cars because he is scared.
"It is a lie. Even the prime minister's cavalcade perhaps does not have 30 cars. Rahul Gandhi, come and show me where are those 30 cars that you saw in Amit Shah's convoy," the BJP MP said.
On Rahul's remarks in the Lok Sabha that the Union home minister was "trembling in fear", Patra hit back and said Shah is the man who makes Naxalites and terrorists tremble in fear.
The BJP's response came after Rahul alleged that Shah had authorised police excesses and firing against student protesters, triggering a massive uproar in the Lok Sabha during a debate on a bill to amend the anti-paper leaks law.
The BJP hit back, accusing the leader of opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha of telling a "bundle of lies", and demanded that he apologise for "misusing" the House by making "baseless" allegations.

Left-backed student groups protest at Jantar Mantar against alleged police crackdown
Students from several Left-affiliated organisations on Wednesday held a protest at Jantar Mantar against the alleged police crackdown on student activists, demanding the release of those detained during the recent demonstrations and an end to what they described as "criminalisation" of student protests.
Protesting under the banner "Student-Youth Unity; Long Live", the demonstrators gathered at the site just days after the month-long agitation that culminated in the resignation of former Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protest was organised following a joint call by Left organisations, including the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU), to mobilise "against the police crackdown on the students and youth of Bihar, Bengal and other states".
The demonstration was joined by members of the All India Students' Association (AISA), Students' Federation of India (SFI), All India Students' Federation (AISF), Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS), All India Democratic Students' Organisation (AIDSO), DSF, PDSU, PSA, PSYA, ACNS, COLLECTIVE, DISHA and PACHHAS among others.
Protesters raised slogans such as "Chhatron ki giraftaari band karo" (stop arresting students) and "Chhatron ka criminalisation nahi chalega" (stop the criminalisation of students).
Speaking at the protest, a DISHA activist appealed to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which had spearheaded the earlier agitation, to issue another call for mobilisation at Jantar Mantar, saying the movement should not lose momentum.
