ISRO's SpaDeX Mission completes second docking of satellites

In yet another feather to ISRO’s cap, the second docking of satellites on board the PSLV-C60/SpaDeX mission was successfully performed on Monday (April 21).

Successful undocking on March 13

ISRO on March 13 had successfully executed the undocking of two satellites.

“#ISRO SPADEX Update: Glad to inform you that the second docking of satellites has been accomplished successfully,” stated Singh.

“As informed earlier, the PSLV-C60 / SPADEX mission was successfully launched on 30 December 2024. Thereafter, the satellites were successfully docked for the first time on 16 January 2025 at 06.20 am and successfully undocked on 13 March 2025 at 09.20 am. Further experiments are planned in the next two weeks,” he added.

ISRO successfully performed the undocking of SpaDeX satellites in its first attempt on March 13, the premier Indian space agency stayed.

The unlocking of the satellites was executed in a 460-km circular orbit with a 45-degree inclination, stated ISRO.

It further stated that the satellites were orbiting independently and their functioning was normal.
