The list of 21 top-scoring candidates includes one candidate each from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and the Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories.
NTA has also activated the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 results for BE/BTech. However, the results for Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) are yet to be declared.
Normalised scores
According to news agency PTI, NTA officials said that the NTA scores are not the same as the percentage of marks obtained but normalised scores.
NTA scores are normalised scores across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session, a senior official explained.
The marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees, the official added.
Based on the results of JEE (Main) Paper 1 and Paper 2, the candidates will be shortlisted to appear for JEE (Advanced), which is a one-stop exam for admission to the 23 premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
"For those candidates who appeared in both sessions of the examination, the best NTA score of both the sessions has been declared," the official said.

According to PTI reports, 110 cases of unfair means have been detected by the NTA where candidates were found to be involved in forgery of documents during the examination. Due to this, the results of the concerned candidates were not declared.
Earlier in the day, the NTA released the final answer key for JEE Main 2025 Session 2. This included two dropped questions. As per NTA rules all candidates will be awarded full marks for the two dropped questions.
The NTA on Wednesday initially published the final answer key but took it down from its website within a few hours. The NTA held the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 examination from April 2 to 9.
