CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke’s mother Anita Dipke on Wednesday claimed that soon after her son launched the satirical political movement, he received a video threat in which he was asked to join the BJP failing which his parents would land in trouble.

In view of the threat, his parents had to leave Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and stay at their relative's place in the Konkan region for a fortnight, she said.

Abhijeet's mother and father Bhagwan Dipke interacted with a Marathi news channel in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar before their son's scheduled return home after leading a 36-day agitation in New Delhi, which culminated in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

"Abhijeet had received threats but he did not tell us. He told me about a video and advised me not to see it. In the video, he was threatened that if he does not join the BJP, then his parents would be dealt with sternly," his mother claimed.

She said Abhijeet later asked the parents to stay away from home for a few days.

"Abhijeet told me that he was not afraid of such threats, but told us that as we are not used to such threats, we should stay away from home. After that, we decided to move out, and went to a relative's residence in Konkan where we stayed for 16 days," his mother said.

His father said that while doing social work, one has to face criticism. "But there are people who applaud your work at the same time. Those whose thinking is 'fixed', they criticise, while some others deliberate on the happenings before reacting," he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, passed by the Lok Sabha shields youth's aspirations by laying down iron-clad provisions to impose the harshest punishment on those who breach the sanctity of public examinations.

In an X post, Shah said, "Congratulations to every student in India on the passage of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in Lok Sabha today." "The bill shields the dreams and aspirations of our youth by laying down iron-clad provisions imposing the harshest punishment on those who dare to breach the sanctity of public examinations," he said.

Shah said the Modi government will spare no one who attempts to imperil the future of the country's students and will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.

The bill provides for the proceedings of paper leak cases in the special fast-track courts to be continued on a daily basis and the trial be completed within three months from the date of filing of the charge sheet.

The Delhi High Court refused to order legal action against Parliament Street police station officials for not providing an acknowledgement of a complaint against several top officers over alleged illegal use of force against protesters during the July 20 protest.

Lawyer Abhijit Anand told Justice Prateek Jalan that Anand Legal Aid Forum Trust tendered a complaint on July 22 against Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar, Joint Commissioner Madhur Verma, Additional DCP Sandeep Lamba and other Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force personnel, disclosing the commission of cognisable offences.

However, despite waiting a long time, the station house officer (SHO) and the duty officer at the police station did not acknowledge receipt of the complaint, which was contrary to the law, Anand said.

The Delhi Police counsel said there was a temporary technical glitch in the computer system on July 22 and that the acknowledgement along with a DD number would be generated and given to the petitioner during the course of the day.

Delhi Police on Wednesday (July 29) said that claims on social media about a woman protester sustaining gunshot injuries during the July 20 protest in central Delhi are not confirmed by her medico-legal certificate (MLC).

According to a statement, the MLC records a lacerated wound in front of the right tragus, with the nature of injury described as blunt. As per the doctor's opinion, it is a simple injury and there is no evidence of gunshot injury.

Therefore, the claim of gunshot injury is not supported by the medical findings on the MLC, read the statement.

"The public is advised to verify information through authentic sources before sharing such claims," it further read.

According to the police, the woman had visited Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on July 20, where doctors prepared her MLC. The police said the official medical document did not mention any gunshot injury and instead recorded a blunt-force injury.

The BJP rejected as a "lie" Rahul Gandhi's claim that police fired bullets at students during their march to Parliament last week following Home Minister Amit Shah's order, alleging that the Congress leader is attempting to spread confusion and incite anarchy for political gains.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, party spokesperson Sambit Patra also slammed Rahul for his remarks that Amit Shah travels in a convoy of 30 cars because he is scared.

"It is a lie. Even the prime minister's cavalcade perhaps does not have 30 cars. Rahul Gandhi, come and show me where are those 30 cars that you saw in Amit Shah's convoy," the BJP MP said.

On Rahul's remarks in the Lok Sabha that the Union home minister "trembles in fear", Patra hit back and said Shah is the man who makes Naxalites and terrorists tremble in fear.

The BJP's response came after Rahul alleged that Shah had authorised police excesses and firing against student protesters, triggering a massive uproar in the Lok Sabha during a debate on a bill to amend the anti-paper leaks law.

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday (July 29) said the government should stop troubling protesting students, saying they are not terrorists but are the future of the country.

He also said the youth will change the government if it does not fall in line.

Dipke said governments in many states were troubling the students after the protest. ''The government should behave well now. The blood of students was spilled on the streets on July 20 (during the March to Parliament). It was really bad. Wasn't it enough, now that the students are still being troubled? In many states, police are visiting the houses of students and threatening them for arrests," he said.

Rahul Gandhi makes a major claim: “I saw Home Minister calling up the police, saw Jitendra Singh getting call after call from the home minister (when protestors were being beaten up), says Rahul, claiming Shah knew all along on July 20 that the police were brutalising students.”

“There are only two possibilities - either he gave the order to fire pellet guns, tear gas and do lathi charge, which shows culpability, or he didn't know what was happening, which shows incompetence. Either way he has to go,” says Rahul.

Rahul demands that Shah be sacked from the Cabinet and a SC-monitored probe is ordered into the July 20 crackdown.

Rahul Gandhi says at presser: “I was not allowed to speak today. I asked the Speaker multiple times to be allowed to speak but was not allowed. The reason given was that I said something about Amit Shah. I said that Amit Shah was responsible for the brutality that was done (to students at the CJP protest on July 20). I was given an assurance that I will be allowed to speak if I apologise. I will never apologise to the BJP-RSS.”
