'No impunity for terrorists'

“No nation should have to accept terrorist attacks being launched against it from land controlled by another country. India is justified in striking terrorist infrastructure. There can be no impunity for terrorists,” Sunak wrote.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said nine terrorist sites were targeted in ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Wednesday.

“A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed. Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted,” the defence ministry said in a press statement issued at 1:44 AM on Wednesday.

“Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution,” he added.

India’s action comes in the wake of the terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam where 26 tourists were killed, the ministry said and added, “We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.”
