Op Sindoor: Who are top Pak Army officers, cops who attended funeral of terrorists?
India has identified and released the names of these officers after several videos and images of the funerals went viral on social media
The Indian armed forces have released the names of key Pakistani Army personnel and police officials from the Punjab province who attended the funerals of several terrorists who were killed by the precision strikes during Operation Sindoor.
Several videos and images of the funerals of terrorists in various border areas in Pakistan went viral on social media, and India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, during a press briefing, even held up a photograph showing uniformed Pakistani army and police personnel standing behind the coffins of the slain terrorists.

Who are the key officials?
India has identified and released the names of some of these key Pakistani officials, according to a report by ANI. They are:
Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, Commander of the IV Corps of Lahore
Major General Rao Imran Sartaj, 11th Infantry Division of Lahore
Brigadier Mohammad Furqan Shabbir
Dr Usman Anwar, Inspector General of Punjab Police
Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bherth, a member of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab
Pakistan’s past denials
Pakistan has always said that it does not support or harbour terrorists in its territory. However, several of their top officials have attended the public funerals of terrorists after Operation Sindoor.
The person who reportedly led the funeral prayers for three terrorists killed in the strike on a terror camp in Muridke was Hafiz Abdul Rauf, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist. Rauf is a designated global terrorist by the US Treasury.

After the funeral, another video showed Pakistani Army personnel carrying the coffins of the terrorists, which were covered with the Pakistani flag.
India’s condemnation
India on May 8 strongly condemned Pakistan for holding state funerals for terrorists, suggesting that it may have become a practice in the country.
Misri also pointed out that Pakistan was lying when it said civilians were killed in Indian strikes, saying it was odd that funerals of civilians were carried out with coffins being draped with the Pakistani flag and state honours were accorded.
High-value targets killed
In a joint press briefing by the Indian military on Sunday evening (May 11), Lt. General Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations, confirmed the names of some high-value targets killed during Operation Sindoor.

Ghai said nine terror targets were identified after careful deliberation, and more than 100 terrorists were killed in the strikes.
He said some of the high-value targets killed were Yusuf Azhar, a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist and the brother-in-law of Maulana Masood Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, a LeT commander, and Mudasir Ahmed, allegedly involved in the Pulwama attack.
