During a long press briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri displayed a photograph showing uniformed Pakistani Army and police personnel offering prayers behind the coffins of slain terrorists. He questioned the message such an image sends, emphasising the troubling implications of state forces publicly honouring individuals India designates as terrorists.

In one instance, a known Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative was seen leading the funeral prayers, further fuelling India's condemnation. New Delhi reiterated its stance that Pakistan continues to support and legitimise terrorism, undermining regional security.
