Monsoon session, Day 4: Another day, same washout story
Several Opposition MPs moved adjournment notices demanding an immediate debate on the Bihar electoral roll revision
Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha failed to transact any business on Thursday (July 24) as Opposition members continued their protests. MPs raised slogans such as “Take back SIR,” demanding the withdrawal of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned within minutes of reconvening on Thursday as Opposition protests continued without pause. The day unfolded much like the previous three days of the session, which has been repeatedly disrupted by demands for discussions on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, and Operation Sindoor.
Past three days of the monsoon session have been washed out as Opposition leaders resorted to noisy protests. They protested against the revision of electoral rolls in Bihar.
