
Bride-to-be dies after falling off roller coaster in Delhi
Police said the couple were on a roller coaster at Fun and Food village in Delhi when the stand on her swing broke and Priyanka toppled over
In a horrific accident, a 24-year-old bride-to-be from Delhi died after she fell off from a roller coaster ride at a popular amusement park in the capital.
On Wednesday (April 3) afternoon, Priyanka, a sales manager from Chanakyapuri, was with her fiancée at Fun and Food Village, near Kapashera, at south-west Delhi, according to the police.
The couple had enjoyed the water rides before moving to the amusement park section of the facility.
Fatal ride
According to a police official, while the couple were on the roller coaster and the ride had reached the top, the stand on her swing broke and Priyanka fell down.

She suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her fiancée Nikhil then conveyed the news to Priyanka's family and police.
Her body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem examination. Police has registered a case and an investigation is on.

Priyanka got engaged to Nikhil in February this year and was delaying the marriage since she wanted to earn and financially help her family before marrying Nikhil. Her family said they had agreed to delaying her marriage.
No safety measures
Meanwhile, Priyanka's brother, Mohit, alleged that the water park had been negligent and they did not have proper safety measures. He also alleged that the park management took his sister to the hospital very late, which led her to her death.
The park has not issued a statement so far. The section of the park where the accident occurred is closed.
