
Two Lawrence Bishnoi-Harry Boxer gang members killed in police encounter in Haryana
Two alleged shooters wanted in the Hansi gym owner murder case were killed during a joint operation by the Delhi Police Special Cell and Haryana STF in Bahadurgarh
Two alleged members of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Harry Boxer gang, wanted in connection with the murder of a gym owner in Haryana's Hansi, were killed in a police encounter in Bahadurgarh, officials said on Sunday (July 5).
The encounter took place late on Saturday (July 4) night during a joint operation by the Delhi Police Special Cell and the Haryana Special Task Force.
Midnight police operation
According to police, the two accused, identified as Parvesh and Himanshu, were intercepted in Bahadurgarh after the teams acted on a tip-off. Officials said the duo allegedly opened fire on the police, triggering a retaliatory exchange. Both sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to a hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.

A constable of the Delhi Police Special Cell, identified as Ankit, was also injured during the operation after he sustained a bullet wound to his leg, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bahadurgarh, Mayank Mishra, told PTI that the accused were intercepted shortly after midnight.
Gym owner murder case
Parvesh and Himanshu were wanted in connection with the June 11 murder of gym owner Kapil in Hansi. Police had alleged that the killing was linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Harry Boxer gang, and the two shooters had been absconding since the incident.
Kapil was conducting an outdoor exercise session for a group of six to seven people when he was shot dead, police had said. A CCTV visual of the incident had gone viral over social media.
Police said during investigations of the case, it came to light that the incident was carried out by Pravesh and Himanshu, both of whom carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh each on their head.
Tip-off leads to encounter
Haryana police said reliable intelligence had indicated that both accused, armed with sophisticated weapons, were present in the Bahadurgarh area and were planning to execute a serious criminal offence.
Acting on the information, the joint police teams launched an operation to surround and apprehend them.

During the encounter, bullets struck the bulletproof jackets of four police personnel, saving their lives, Haryana police said.
The injured police constable and both accused were immediately shifted to a hospital, where Pravesh and Himanshu were declared dead by doctors.
Joint operation
Haryana Police DGP Ajay Singhal said state police is taking firm and uncompromising action against organised crime, gangster networks, and all those who challenge the rule of law.
The DGP stated that during this joint operation, the police teams displayed exceptional courage, restraint, and a high degree of professional competence while successfully carrying out their duty.
According to police, Pravesh is a resident of Tibba Danasher in Hisar while Himanshu is a resident of village Jakhod Khera, also in Hisar. The two were also named accused in a case registered by the Special Cell.
