‘Goaded by Lavnish’, Bainsla allegedly chased Sia for 2 km before hitting her: Reports

Kalyan Bainsla, the prime accused in the Gurugram hit-and-run case, allegedly partied with his cousin Lavnish Gurjar, and their two friends at a pub through the night before hitting the road, when they accosted biker Shivani Chauhan alias Sia out riding with her biker gang.
Bainsla, allegedly goaded by Gurjar, chased Sia for two kilometres along Golf Course Road before hitting and knocking her off her bike and fleeing.
Media reports cited unnamed sources in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe the incident as saying that Bainsla (33), a gym owner, came across Sia near the Sector 53 Metro station, where they had an argument.

As Sia rode on, he allegedly began chasing her in the borrowed Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, goaded by Lavnish (34). They allegedly chased her bike for two kilometres, knocked her down, and sped off. All the men were likely drunk since they reportedly partied from midnight till 5 am at a pub in Gurugram’s Sector 25.
Statements of two others in car to be recorded
While both Bainsla and Gurjar are in jail, Gurugram police have reportedly served notices to the two friends who were in the back seat of the vehicle.
Their identities have not been revealed yet but Sia has called for their arrest too, saying “such incidents will continue to happen” if all those responsible directly or indirectly are not brought to book. Police will reportedly take a decision on arresting them after recording their statements.

Bainsla’s blood and urine samples have reportedly been sent for tests and the reports are awaited. Police have reportedly sought CCTV footage from the club as well, along with the DVR data.
Bainsla and Gurjar were arrested in Rajasthan on Tuesday (September 15) as footage from the action camera mounted on Sia’s bike went viral the day before.
