Man stabs ex-girlfriend to death inside office; accused hospitalised after suicide bid
Police said Dimple was stabbed 25 to 30 times by Harry, and she succumbed to her injuries during treatment at a hospital
A woman working in a private company was stabbed to death by her former boyfriend and colleague in Mohali on Thursday (June 4), police said. The entire incident has been captured on CCTV installed at the office.
The victim has been identified as Dimple, 29, from Patiala. The accused, Harjinder Singh Mann alias Harry, 39, tried to take his own life after the incident and has been admitted to a hospital. He is in an unconscious state, police said.

According to reports, Harry and Dimple were in a relationship for more than three years and broke up a few months ago. The accused was struggling to overcome the break-up and even tried to reconcile with her several times, but failed.
'Stabbed 25 to 30 times'
In the footage that has gone viral on social media, Harry is seen approaching Dimple at her desk and stabbing her. She runs away from him and a few of her colleagues try to intervene but give up after being threatened with a knife by the accused.
Police said Dimple was stabbed 25 to 30 times by Harry, and she succumbed to her injuries during treatment at the hospital.
DSP Harsimran Singh Bal said, “Harjinder Singh Mann stabbed Dimple 25 to 30 times while she was working on the computer. He also inflicted self-injuries; he is in an unconscious state right now. We got information about this on 112. SHO Phase-11 filed an FIR under Section 103 BNS in the matter and started the investigation. The knife used in the crime has also been recovered.”
