Rapido launches buggy services at KSR Bengaluru City railway station
Passengers are charged a fixed fare of Rs 12 per seat for transport from the railway platforms to the pickup area outside the station
Rapido, the ride-hailing platform, has launched electric buggy services at KSR Bengaluru City (Majestic) railway station with a fixed fare of Rs 12 per seat.
According to a report in MoneyControl on Monday (May 11), the buggy services began one month back, and they are being run on a pilot basis. The buggy fare can be redeemed against Rapido rides from the station.

"Passengers are charged a fixed fare of Rs 12 per seat for transport from the railway platforms to the pickup area outside the station. The fare has been fixed by railway station authorities. However, commuters who book a Rapido ride from the station can redeem the buggy fare against their ride fare, effectively making the buggy ride free for them", a source was quoted as saying in the report.
The service is called “Buggy-to-Boarding: A seamless railway exit initiative”.
“Rapido is proud to announce the launch of exclusive Buggy Services at the railway station, specifically designed to eliminate the post-travel hustle for commuters. Recognising that the journey doesn’t end at the platform, we have established a dedicated, fully air-conditioned Rapido Lounge where travellers can unwind and escape the heat while waiting for their ride,” Rapido spokesperson said.
“Our on-ground team is stationed throughout the process to assist with luggage and navigation, ensuring every commuter feels supported and safe,” the spokesperson added.
