Test shows TN CM experienced giddiness during walk due to heart rate irregularity; underwent a therapeutic procedure to correct it

Doctors treating Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin at a private hospital in Chennai, since Monday (July 21), said that the mild giddiness he experienced during his morning walk was due to variations in his heart rate. Following a diagnostic angiogram, they confirmed that his health is normal and that he is expected to resume routine activities in two days.

CM works from hospital

Even while undergoing tests, Stalin has continued to work from his hospital room over the past three days. He was receiving updates from the chief secretary and also reviewed the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ programme, which he had launched earlier this month.

Dr Anil BG, who shared details of the chief minister’s medical evaluation, said various investigations were conducted to determine the cause of the giddiness. “The investigations revealed that the symptoms were due to variations in heart rate,” he said in a press release.

Based on the recommendation of a medical expert committee, Stalin underwent a therapeutic procedure to correct the heart rate irregularity. “The diagnostic angiogram done today was normal. The chief minister is in good health and is expected to resume his normal routine in two days,” the release said.
