Pushed from roof, survived and then killed at home: Wife, lover murder Telangana man

He allegedly became an obstacle to his wife’s extramarital affair. So when he came back from a Gulf country where he was working, his wife and her lover planned to kill him. Along with another man, they made him drunk, then pushed him from the terrace of their house.

Murder plot

But he survived despite grievous injuries and was initially taken to a government hospital. From there, he was shifted to a private hospital before being brought home by the accused, where his wife, using her knowledge of nursing, injected toilet cleaner and an anaesthetic substance into him and pushed him down from the cot, resulting in his death.

The brutal murder took place in Telangana’s Nyalkal village of Nizamabad district. According to a report in NDTV, police said that the victim, Prashant (35), returned home from the Gulf late last month.

First attempt

Investigators said that his wife, Sandhya, planned his murder with her lover, Anil, and asked Venkata Sai, alias Bunty, to be with Prashant and make him drink heavily. Prashant and Venkata Sai, on June 29, went to the terrace after consuming alcohol, where a fight broke out between the two.

According to the police, Sandhya pushed Prashant from the terrace. After he survived despite serious injuries, they took him to a government hospital and then shifted him to a private hospital before bringing him home.

Second attempt

After the first attempt to murder Prashant failed, on June 30, Sandhya used her knowledge of nursing in the second attempt.

After being encouraged by Anil, Sandhya injected a toilet cleaner and an anaesthesia medicine into Prasanth through a cannula. Sandhya also pushed Prasanth down from the cot, which led to his death, it said.

Mother's complaint

The mother of the deceased filed a complaint on July 1 that she came to know about the death of her son.

The complainant told police that she was not even aware of her son's visit to her home and the events preceding his death. Expressing doubts about her daughter-in-law, Sandhya, she said her son's death is mysterious.

The accused voluntarily admitted their crime during the investigation. Police arrested and produced the three accused before a court, which remanded them to jail, the release added, reported PTI.
