Telangana govt moves HC against ‘AI content’ on disputed land: Report
Individuals who shared AI-generated content, according to government, include Dia Mirza and Dhruv Rathee; actress rubbishes allegation
The Telangana government has reportedly moved court against all those allegedly using AI-generated content to spread “false narratives” about Kancha Gachibowli. Those individuals include actors Dia Mirza, John Abraham, Raveena Tandon, and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, going by an X post made by the Telangana CMO on April 5.
The state’s plans for the “development” of 400 acres of forested land at Kancha Gachibowli in Rangareddy district — which it claims to own — has sparked heated protests from the students of University of Hyderabad, who claim it’s university property.
According to the CMO tweet, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed his officials on April 5 to approach the court over the “misleading AI visuals”, which, the government feels, is hindering its efforts to build an IT park on the said plot. According to an India Today report, the government has moved the high court on the issue.

Dia Mirza denies posting AI-generated content
According to satellite images posted on social media, Kancha Gachibowli area has suffered large-scale deforestation. However, the government claims that other visuals have been generated using AI to create an artificial hype.
The matter is currently being heard in both the high court and the Supreme Court. The apex court on April 3 took serious note of large-scale tree felling in Kancha Gachibowli and directed the state government to halt further deforestation at once.
In response to Reddy’s remarks on AI-generated content, Dia Mirza hit back, saying: “This is an absolutely false statement. I have not posted a single image or video that is AI generated. The media and the Telangana government should verify their facts before making such claims.”
