Call to father after murders

He also said he was going to die by suicide, but that has not been confirmed yet,” said senior police officer Tarun Joshi as quoted by NDTV.

"The accused was following the girl from her coaching institute to her house and was pressuring her to accept his proposal,” said Joshi, adding that Rajkumar fled after the case was registered and was later granted secured anticipatory bail from the court as the punishment for the sections invoked was less than seven years.
Investigators said that Rajkumar was granted anticipatory bail on a personal bond of Rs 20,000, about a week before he committed the murders.
Behavioural issues cited
Joshi said that Rajkumar had a history of behavioural issues."We called him two or three times for counselling. His family members have stated that his mental condition was not stable. He also had a gambling habit and had accumulated loans earlier," he added.
