Ketan Agarwal murder: Accused Siya's parents seek harshest punishment if she is found guilty
The parents of murder accused Siya Goyal have demanded the strictest punishment if she is convicted in the alleged murder of fiancé Ketan Agarwal
The parents of Siya Goyal, the young woman accused of murdering her fiancé Ketan Agarwal, have publicly demanded the strictest possible punishment if the allegations against their daughter are proven in court.
Speaking after the shocking case emerged, both parents insisted that justice should take precedence over family ties, even if it meant their own daughter facing the ultimate consequences.
Siya is accused of conspiring with her alleged lover, Chetan Babulal Chaudhary, to push 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal from Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra, leading to his death. Investigators say the incident, initially believed to be an accidental fall during a trek, was a planned murder.

Her mother, Pooja Goyal, said the tragedy had devastated both families and described Ketan's death as a loss that extended beyond his own household. She maintained that Siya had never expressed any displeasure about the arranged marriage or hinted that she wanted to call it off.

Elaborating further, Pooja said, wedding preparations were progressing smoothly, with both families looking forward to the ceremony scheduled for November in Udaipur.
"If my daughter is found guilty, then she should be thrown from the same place where Ketan was thrown from,” she added as quoted by NDTV.
Siya's father, Praveen Goyal, echoed the same sentiment, saying, "From the fort where Ketan fell, the accused, even if it is my own daughter, should be pushed down."
'Ketan was like our son'
Praveen also spoke emotionally about his bond with Ketan, saying the young businessman had become like a son to the family.
"They've lost their son, and their son was ours, too. We loved him so much. I had grown so attached to him that it felt like he was our own son. We lost such a loving, promising, good boy today. We are deeply saddened by that," he said.

"We did not know anything about Chetan. Ever since the engagement, she only spoke to Ketan,” said Pooja.
Praveen similarly described Siya as a simple 19-year-old and insisted Chetan had never visited their home or interacted with the family.
