Rohit Pawar’s PA’s 12-year-old daughter found dead in Maharashtra’s Baramati
The girl had gone missing after leaving home on Saturday night; police are probing all angles, including possible suicide and murder
A 12-year-old girl, the daughter of NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar's personal assistant, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Baramati in Maharashtra's Pune district on Sunday, police said.
The girl had reportedly left her home in the Sainagar area of Rui village on Saturday night following a minor argument with her mother. When she failed to return, her family approached the police and filed a missing person complaint.
Police probing all angles
Her body was found near her residence on Sunday morning, following which police reached the spot and began an investigation.

The body was sent to the Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for a postmortem examination. Police said the exact cause of death has not yet been established and that all possible angles were being examined.
While suicide is among the possibilities being considered at this stage, police have not ruled out murder or any other angle. Officials said the postmortem report is expected to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the death.
“The police have launched an investigation into the case and are examining all possible angles,” a senior police official said, according to PTI.
Pawar seeks thorough probe
Later, Rohit Pawar reached the Government Medical College and Hospital after learning about the incident and reviewed the situation.
Expressing grief over the death, the MLA said he was shocked by the incident and raised concerns over the functioning of the police and the Home Department. He also called for the postmortem process to be conducted without any negligence.

“I have spoken to the police and doctors. There should be no negligence in the postmortem process,” Pawar said. He said he was awaiting the outcome of the police investigation and urged authorities to ensure that the circumstances surrounding the death were established without any lapses.
“We are waiting for the police investigation to be completed. The police must reveal the truth without any negligence. If there has been any lapse in the way the police handled the matter, it will come at a cost to them,” Pawar added.
