Archana debuted in Sandalwood with Gung and later starred in notable films like Gandhinagar Jayanti, Rajaratha, and Vijayanagara.
Sharath made his IPL debut last year for the Gujarat Titans (GT). That was the only game he has played in the Indian Premier League. In IPL 2025, he is not part of any franchise.
In an interview with Bangalore Times, the couple shared that their friendship blossomed into love, strengthened by shared interests and mutual support. They hinted that their wedding will happen soon. Sharath and Archana studied in the same college in Bengaluru.
Engagement news goes viral on social media
“Sharath was my senior in college, and while I knew of him back then, we weren’t close. Years later, in 2018, we met through a mutual friend, and I instantly felt like sparks were flying everywhere,” she said in the interview.
“Obviously, Sharath liked me from the get-go, but I waited for him to tell me that he likes me first. But, he was always the gentleman; he still is,” she added.
The engagement news has gone viral on social media, with fans from both the cricket world and Kannada cinema showering the couple with heartfelt congratulations.
