Live: Kohli, Shami shine as India beat Australia to enter final
In the final on Sunday (March 9), India will face either South Africa or New Zealand in Dubai
Hello and welcome to The Federal’s live coverage of the India vs Australia semifinal match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai.
Result: India beat Australia by four wickets. Virat Kohli top-scored with 84 as India chased down 265 to reach the Champions Trophy final. India scored 267/6 in 48.1 overs. For Australia, Steve Smith scored 73, Alex Carey made 61.

India end 14-year wait
In ICC knockout matches, India had not beaten Australia since the 2011 World Cup quarterfinal in Ahmedabad. They ended the 14-year wait today.
India have entered the final with an all-win record in the league phase. The ‘Men in Blue’ had topped Group A in league phase.
The Rohit Sharma-led team defeated Bangladesh, hosts Pakistan, and New Zealand. New Zealand are the team to qualify for the semifinals from Group A.
From Group B, Australia finished runners-up with one win and two no results due to rain. South Africa topped the group with two wins and one no result.
The second semifinal between South Africa and New Zealand is tomorrow (March 5). The final is on Sunday (March 9).
