KKR vs RR: Riyan Parag smashes 6 sixes in a row

Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain scripted history as he smashed six sixes in a row against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an IPL 2025 match on Sunday evening (May 4).
Chasing 207 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Parag hit spinner Moeen Ali for five consecutive sixes in an over, and in the next over, the first ball he faced from Varun Chakravarthy, he made it six sixes on the trot.

Fifth batter to hit 5 sixes in an over
Parag is only the fifth batter in IPL history to hit five sixes in an over, joining the likes of Chris Gayle, Rahul Tewatia, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rinku Singh.
The sequence of sixes from right-hander Parag began on the second ball of the 13th over. He reached his fifty off 27 balls, with a six off Ali, sending the ball over deep square leg for a flat six.
Parag repeated the same on the third, fourth and fifth balls. However, the sixth ball from Ali was a wide, and he had to re-bowl and that too went for a six. Ali conceded 32 runs in the over.
In the next over, Parag hit Chakravarthy for a six, off the second ball.
His superb knock ended in the 18th over, at 95 off 45 with six fours and eight sixes.
