RR opening batter Suryavanshi recently made headlines by becoming the youngest to score a hundred in T20 cricket and the IPL. He smashed a 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans (GT) on April 28 in Jaipur. This is the second-fastest ton in the history of IPL.
What Ganguly said
Left-handed Suryavanshi hit seven fours and 11 sixes in his 38-ball 101 as RR chased down 210 in 15.5 overs.

However, in the next game, against Mumbai Indians (MI), Suryavanshi was dismissed for a duck. On Sunday, he got out for just four runs against KKR as RR lost by just one run in a last-ball thriller at Eden Gardens.
After the match, Ganguly met RR head coach Rahul Dravid, Sanju Samson and Suryavanshi.
According to an India Today report, citing sources, Ganguly told Suryavanshi: “I have seen your game. Play the way you play fearless cricket. There is no need to change your game.”
Ganguly also checked the youngster’s heavy bat and praised his power-hitting ability, and said, “He has good power. He did not score runs in the KKR match, but he is a very good player.”
RR are already out of playoff race. However, they have two more matches to play in the league phase. They meet Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 12 in Chennai and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on May 16 in Jaipur.
