Operation Sindoor LIVE | Blood and water can't flow together: Modi tells Pakistan
In a televised address to the nation, PM Modi said India has only temporarily halted its counter-terrorism operations against Pakistan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Monday (May 12) that India has temporarily halted its counter-terrorism operations against Pakistan but warned that New Delhi is prepared to respond decisively to any threats.
In a televised address to the nation, Modi said, "In the coming days, we will observe Pakistan's behaviour and decide our actions on the basis of that."
The Prime Minister saluted India’s Armed Forces for its bravery. He also said Pakistan's 'nuke blackmail' won't work with India anymore.
'Not the era of terror'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asserted that this is not an era of war but not of terrorism either.
The PM said on Monday that for India to uphold peace, it must be strong, and when necessary, that strength must be exercised.
"This is not an era of war, but it is not an era of terrorism either. Unity is India's greatest strength in the fight against all forms of terrorism. Zero Tolerance against terrorism is the guarantee of a better and safer world," he said.
Modi asserted that Pakistan's military and government have continuously nurtured terrorism, warning that such actions will eventually lead to Pakistan's own downfall.
He declared that if Pakistan seeks survival, it must dismantle its terror infrastructure—there is no other path to peace.
'Terror and talks can't co-exist'
He reaffirmed India's firm stance, stating that terror and talks cannot coexist, terror and trade cannot run parallel, and blood and water cannot flow together.
"Any discussions with Pakistan will focus solely on terrorism and any negotiations with Pakistan will centre around Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)," he said.

Srinagar Airport ready for flight operations after AAI notice
The Srinagar International Airport is ready for flight operations after the Airports Authority of India announced the resumption of civilian flights at 32 such facilities.

On Monday, an official said, "Aerodrome closure NOTAM has been revoked and Srinagar Airport is ready to facilitate flight operations." He said a response from airlines about the resumption of flights was awaited.

NCW condemns online trolling of FS Vikram Misri's daughter
The National Commission for Women has strongly condemned the online trolling of Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, his family, and particularly his daughter media in the wake of India and Pakistan reaching an understanding on May 10 to halt all military actions.
In a statement issued by NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, the panel denounced the sharing of the young woman's personal contact details, calling it a "grossly irresponsible act" and a "serious breach of privacy" that endangers her safety.
Rahatkar stressed that personal attacks on the family members of senior civil servants like Misri are not only unacceptable but also morally indefensible.
Calling for restraint and respect in both online and offline spaces, the NCW urged citizens to rise above such behaviour. "Let us choose dignity and responsible conduct," Rahatkar added.

PM Modi delivered on promise of 'action beyond imagination' against terrorists: BJP
The BJP asserted on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has delivered on his promise of inflicting on terrorists behind the Pahalgam terror strike a punishment beyond their imagination and razing to the ground their safe havens.
Addressing a press conference, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra noted that Modi had vowed that India will take out terrorists in their homes and tear down the terror sites.
The kind of military and non-military action India has taken under the operation is unprecedented, and has sent a decisive message in its war against terrorism, he added.
Even Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE have backed and Pakistan stands isolated globally, Patra claimed, adding that India has shown that no part of the neighbouring country is beyond its reach.
To a question about the vicious trolling of Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri by a section of right-wing activists after India and Pakistan agreed to stop military actions, Patra said his party respects everyone, be it armed forces or bureaucrats, associated with the operation.

Congress seeks Centre's clarification on third-party mediation in Kashmir issue
The Congress on Monday urged the Centre to clarify whether it is open to third-party mediation on the Kashmir issue, warning that such as stance could potentially violate the Simla Agreement.
The grand old party pointed to US President Donald Trump's daily statements, claiming that he was intervening in the matter, and said a clarification from the union government on the matter was inevitable.
While addressing a party programme here, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal said the party wants to know whether there has been a shift in the country's foreign policy, and therefore the matter has to be taken up in the Parliament at the earliest.
Questions are now being raised if the Simla Agreement has been violated.
His comments came after India and Pakistan on Saturday agreed to halt military actions on land, air and sea after four days of intense cross-border drone and missile strikes.
