No country stopped India from acting in its defence, PM Modi stressed, replying to Rahul's remarks
Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Tuesday (July 29) that no world leader had told India to stop Operation Sindoor as he lashed out at the Congress for “importing issues from Pakistan” and said the Opposition party is joining terrorists and their masterminds in shedding tears after the victorious Indian military action.

Replying to an over 16-hour discussion in Lok Sabha on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, Modi rebutted the Opposition’s charge over US President Donald Trump’s repeated claims of mediating “ceasefire”, saying he had told US Vice President J D Vance on May 9 night that Pakistan will pay dearly for any attack on India.
In his 102-minute speech, the prime minister lauded India’s military action as a “vijayotsav” (victory celebration) and told the House amid cheers from the treasury benches that he was presenting the “stand of Bharat”.
“India destroyed Pakistan’s military strength between May 9 and May 10. Pakistan now clearly understands that India’s response will always get bigger and that India can do anything if it engages in any misadventure in future,” he said, emphasising that Operation Sindoor is continuing.
What transpired that day
Modi said Vance called him up a few times but he was busy in meetings with the armed forces brass and returned the call later. “The Vice President told me that Pakistan is going to launch a big attack. I told him if this is Pakistan’s intention, then this will cost it dearly. We will respond with a bigger attack. We will fire cannonballs against their bullets.” “No world leader asked India to stop its military operation,” he said.
India has made it clear that it will respond to terror on its terms, won't tolerate nuclear blackmail and will treat terror sponsors and masterminds alike, he said.
On Trump's claim
No country stopped India from acting in its defence, PM Modi stressed, adding that only three of the 193 UN members spoke in favour of Pakistan, remarks which came soon after Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi claimed no country condemned Pakistan and cited Trump’s claims to question Modi’s leadership.
Modi then turned on the Congress. The Opposition party has fallen to such a low that despite governing India for so long, it does not trust the country’s establishment and its trust is in fact guided by remote control in Pakistan, he said. Modi kept raking up Congress and Jawaharlal Nehru and blamed the party and India's first Prime Minister for many of India's ''follies''.

Shivraj Chouhan highlights farmer schemes, MSP gains, and subsidy expansion under NDA govt
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that under the NDA government, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme was introduced, benefiting 10 crore farmers. He noted that subsidised loans to farmers under the Kisan Credit Scheme during the previous UPA regime amounted to just Rs 7 lakh crore, whereas under the NDA, this has increased to Rs 25 lakh crore.
In the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, approximately Rs 35,000 crore in premiums was directly transferred to farmers' accounts. Additionally, he said the government provides subsidies for mechanisation, including sprinklers, greenhouse technology, and more.
Chouhan added that the NDA government ensures that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) includes at least 50 per cent profit over the cost of production. The government has also achieved record MSP procurement, offered compensation for crop losses, and provided fertiliser subsidies, including for urea.

Singh on Monday addressed the Lok Sabha on the issue and warned that Operation Sindoor could resume in case of any misadventure by Pakistan. Union Agriculture Minster Shivraj Chouhan answers queries during question hour
Responding to Congress MP Manickam Tagore's question on whether PM's promise to double farmers's income by 2022 is a 'jumla', Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chouhan responded that various campaigns and measures have been taken up by the govt to double farmers's income.
He stated that the govt has taken steps to increase the production of crops, reduce production costs, provide compensation in case of crop loss and comprehensive method of agriculture, including crop production, animal husbandry and fishing.

Operation Sindoor discussion to begin in Rajya Sabha
According to media reports, the Government will table a report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on Inventory Management in Steel Authority of India Limited. Manish Tewari reacts to reports on being 'benched' by Cong during Op Sindoor debate
Congress MP Manish Tewari indirectly responded to reports of being sidelined by his party during the Operation Sindoor debate by posting lyrics from the iconic patriotic song “Bharat ka rehne waala hoon” on X.
The post came after a media report suggested that both Tewari and fellow MP Shashi Tharoor were excluded from the list of Congress speakers, allegedly for having earlier expressed views sympathetic to the government's stance post-Pahalgam attack.
