Nehru-Congress-bashing again and again; Modi concludes his 100-minute speech
No country stopped India from acting in its defence, PM Modi stressed, replying to Rahul's remarks
Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Tuesday (July 29) that no world leader had told India to stop Operation Sindoor as he lashed out at the Congress for “importing issues from Pakistan” and said the Opposition party is joining terrorists and their masterminds in shedding tears after the victorious Indian military action.

Replying to an over 16-hour discussion in Lok Sabha on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, Modi rebutted the Opposition’s charge over US President Donald Trump’s repeated claims of mediating “ceasefire”, saying he had told US Vice President J D Vance on May 9 night that Pakistan will pay dearly for any attack on India.
In his 102-minute speech, the prime minister lauded India’s military action as a “vijayotsav” (victory celebration) and told the House amid cheers from the treasury benches that he was presenting the “stand of Bharat”.
“India destroyed Pakistan’s military strength between May 9 and May 10. Pakistan now clearly understands that India’s response will always get bigger and that India can do anything if it engages in any misadventure in future,” he said, emphasising that Operation Sindoor is continuing.
What transpired that day
Modi said Vance called him up a few times but he was busy in meetings with the armed forces brass and returned the call later. “The Vice President told me that Pakistan is going to launch a big attack. I told him if this is Pakistan’s intention, then this will cost it dearly. We will respond with a bigger attack. We will fire cannonballs against their bullets.” “No world leader asked India to stop its military operation,” he said.
India has made it clear that it will respond to terror on its terms, won't tolerate nuclear blackmail and will treat terror sponsors and masterminds alike, he said.
On Trump's claim
No country stopped India from acting in its defence, PM Modi stressed, adding that only three of the 193 UN members spoke in favour of Pakistan, remarks which came soon after Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi claimed no country condemned Pakistan and cited Trump’s claims to question Modi’s leadership.
Modi then turned on the Congress. The Opposition party has fallen to such a low that despite governing India for so long, it does not trust the country’s establishment and its trust is in fact guided by remote control in Pakistan, he said. Modi kept raking up Congress and Jawaharlal Nehru and blamed the party and India's first Prime Minister for many of India's ''follies''.

PM Modi: Congress, Nehru created water crisis
Nehru agreed to give away 80 per cent water of Indus to Pakistan and kept only 20 per cent for a country as big and populous as India. What diplomacy was that? Our citizens, our farmers, our Punjab, our J&K had the right over that water, but Congress pushed all of them into a water crisis.

Congress signing Indus Waters Treaty compromised our national interests: Modi
For decades, Congress conspired to remove our Forces from Siachen. Had they got a chance in 2014, we would have lost Siachen too.
Those teaching us diplomacy today, I want to remind them of their love for Pakistan following 26/11 attacks. Under foreign pressure, the Congress government had started dialogue with Pakistan within months of 26/11. They didn't expel any Pakistani diplomat, they didn't even cancel a single visa to a Pakistani, but they kept Pakistan in the 'Most Favoured Nation' category.
Pakistan kept sending terrorists who played a holi with our blood, but Congress was busy hosting Aman ki Aasha mushairas. We cancelled the MFN status for Pakistan, we closed the Attari-Wagah border. Congress, Nehru signed the Indus Waters Treaty, which compromised our national interests. Those rivers had been part of Indian heritage for thousands of years. Indus was what India was synonymous with; Indus and Jhelum were our rivers, but India gave away the water of these rivers to Pakistan. This was an attack on our sovereignty and our interests.

Congress had no vision for national security: PM Modi
Operation Sindoor has increased the demand of Indian defence systems globally.
I am stunned that some people are still unhappy about these achievements. The country will have to recognise such people.
Our India is the country of Shivaji, Maharana Pratap, Ranjit Singh, and Rajendra Chola.
The Congress had no vision for national security in the past and there's no question of it having such a vision today... Those asking why we didn't take back PoK, well that's a question they can only ask me and no one else, but before asking me that question, they have to answer who let Pakistan create PoK. The answer is clear. If I talk of Nehru, they will get rattled. The country is still paying the price of decisions that were taken after independence.

PM Modi targets Congress over 'scams'
During Congress rule, no thought was ever given to make our Forces self-reliant. In every security arms deal, there was a scam. For decades, our Forces had to wait for modern weapons. There was a time when India's defence equipment was best in the world, even when people fought using swords, Indian swords were famous, but after independence, systematically, our defence manufacturing was crippled. In the past decade, Make in India weapons were provided to the Forces and they had a huge role in Operation Sindoor.
For the first time since independence, defence is seeing reforms today. We brought in the appointment of a CDS, joint command integration, and reformed defence production.

PM Modi: India neutralised Pakistan's 1,000 missiles
The country will be full of pride hearing this, but I don't know about them (Congress). On May 9, Pakistan directed 1,000 missiles and drones at India, but our air defence systems neutralised all of them in the sky itself.
Congress was waiting for some mistake will happen and Modi would get trapped. Pakistan spread rumours about attacking our Adampur air base. I went to the Adampur air base the very next day and disproved that propaganda.
The Congress has ruled for so long. They know how systems and government work. Yet they don't trust the systems of this country. They don't trust the statements of the home minister, defence minister, and external affairs minister. The remote control of the Congress is with Pakistan now. The Congress leader (Rahul) got one of their MPs (Praniti Shinde) to call Operation Sindoor a tamasha.
Yesterday, we did Operation Mahadev. I am shocked that some people here were asking why did it happen only yesterday. What has happened to you (Opposition)? First, you kept shouting what has happened to the Pahalgam perpetrators and now when it has happened you are questioning why it has happened yesterday.

PM Modi: 'Terrorists are crying, terror masters are crying'
Abhinandan's return shut Congress up.
After Pahalgam, one of our BSF jawans was caught by Pakistan. Again, Congress thought that now Modi is trapped, on social media, they started asking when will BSF jawan would come back, but even that jawan was brought back with respect and pride.
Terrorists are crying, terror masters are crying, and seeing them here also some people are crying.
After Operation Sindoor, they started another drama, asking why it was stopped. First, they wouldn't believe surgical strikes, bow they ask why we stopped. They only need an excuse to oppose. Not just me, but the entire country is laughing at them.
The Congress has always had negativity about our Forces. The whole country knows that the Congress has not accepted the Kargil Divas to date. They never celebrate Kargil Vijay Divas.
You take out the record and see how similar the statements of Pakistan and Congress are. The country is shocked that Congress has given a clean chit to Pakistan. How dare you ask for evidence that the Pahalgam perpetrators were from Pakistan? Even when all evidence is in front of you, this is your situation; what would you have done had there been no evidence?

PM Modi slams Congress
Congress is now dependent on Pakistan for issues. Congress is importing Pakistan's issues. In today's warfare, information and narrative play a big role. Using narratives and AI, games are being played to hurt the morale of our Forces and misinform our people. Congress has become a spokesperson for this tactic.
Our Forces conducted surgical strikes, and immediately the Congress asked the Forces for evidence. When the Congress saw the nation's mood, it changed its tone and started saying surgical strikes are no big deal and even Congress had done them in the past.
After Balakot air strikes, Congress couldn't say we also did air strikes, but they started asking for evidence of damage again. When pilot Abhinandan was caught in Pakistan, it was natural for Pakistan to be happy, but even here, there were some people who were happy and saying let's see what Modi will do now, but we brought Abhinandan back.

PM Modi: Pakistan knows today that every response from India will be stronger than the previous one
On May 9, US Vice President (JD Vance) tried for an hour to call me, but I was busy in a meeting with the Forces, so I couldn't take his call. I called him back and asked him why he called me 2-3 times. That is when he told me that Pakistan wants to launch a massive strike on India. I told him that if Pakistan goes ahead, we will retaliate. I told him, hum goli ka jawaab gole se denge (we will respond to bullets with mortars).
Pakistan knows today that every response from India will be stronger than the previous one and that in the future, India can do anything. I want to reiterate that Operation Sindoor is still continuing, and if Pakistan does anything, it will be given a befitting response.

PM Modi: No leader of the world told India to stop its action
We got support of the world but it is unfortunate that the bravery of our Forces did not get the support of the Congress party. Within days of the April 22 attack, they started questioning, "where is Modi, where is chappan inch ki chaati (56 inch chest)".
For their petty politics, they were targeting me but their (Congress') chichorapan (nuisance) was damaging India's morale. The Congress doesn't trust India's forces. This is why they are repeatedly questioning our forces after Op Sindoor.
This is the same propaganda that is spread from across the border. Some people trust Pakistan's misinformation more than the facts given by our Armed Forces.
When surgical strikes happened, we hit terror launchpads in Pakistan. In Balakot, we hit terror training camps. In Operation Sindoor, we demolished terror epicenters, places where Pahalgam perpetrators were trained. Our Forces had 100 percent success.
Some people have deliberate amnesia. On May 7 morning, India made it clear that our goal was to only neutralise terrorists and terror hubs and that we had achieved that on the night of May 6-7 itself.
Within minutes of Op Sindoor, we had informed the Pakistan Army that we attacked with a goal and achieved that goal. If Pakistan had any sense, ot would not have stood with the terrorists but shamefully it did. We were fully prepared and were looking for a chance. When Pakistan decided to escalate things, Indian Armed Forces gave them a reply they will never forget. Post midnight of May 9, our missile hit targets in Pakistan it had never imagined. That is what made Pakistan come to its knees and their DGMO called and pleaded us to stop.
We had said on Day 1 itself that we have achieved our goal. This was our very clear policy and strategy that we will target only terrorists, terror hubs and those sheltering them. We had said our action is non-escalatory.
I want to make it clear that no leader of the world told India to stop its action.

PM Modi: No country stopped India from taking action
Lot of people here spoke of foreign policy and the support we got from the world.
I want to make it clear that no country in the world stopped India from taking its action. (Oposition raises Trump, Trump jeers)
